The GR-55's sound engine employs a hybrid system that combines two types of sound sources. The fusion of two PCM sound sources boasting realistic and versatile timbres and latency-free COSM guitar modeling allows for expressive performance with a completely new sound.
Fast tracking for superior playability.
The GK-3/3B's newly developed algorithm enables accurate, high-speed tracking of the independent pitch of each string input from the GK-3/3B's dedicated divided pickups.

The GR-55 has 270 preset sounds (in guitar mode). The completely new sounds created by the hybrid method sound source not only enable new performance expression, but also provide immediate results for rock and pop music guitarists.
Easy operation with large LCD, EZ-Edit, and SOUND STYLE.
The top panel is simply designed for intuitive operation. Selected buttons and multi-effects-like pedal operation allow you to quickly switch tones and other functions.
A 240 x 64-dot LCD display is used for the display. The display is highly readable, and various parameters can be operated comfortably.
Preset sounds are categorized into three styles: LEAD, RHYTHM, and OTHER. The EZEdit function can be used for tone editing to support speedy sound creation.

The USB port allows connection to a PC, and the USB AUDIO and USB MIDI functions allow audio recording to DAW software, etc., as well as MIDI recording from the guitar/bass.
In addition, a USB memory stick terminal is also provided. The USB memory stick also supports playback of audio data and backup of user tones built into the unit.
