The use of maple and spruce is a tried and tested combination used in quality violins. This combination of traditional materials produces a powerful, focused and centred sound with plenty of body and tonal warmth, and contributes to a strong and durable build. The woods are hand selected based on their age, seasoned, and then hand carved into works of art. This results in a hardwearing violin which allows the player to develop their own unique and full-bodied sound.
Each Eastman Concertante violin goes through a gold level set up, which ensures that it's ready to go straight away. Pirastro's Tonica strings have been selected for their incredible power, expression and soft hand feel. The instrument is completely stripped down and the nut is filed to the optimum height and spacing for the Tonica strings and the instrument. This results in ease of play for the performer, whilst producing the maximum amount of resonance and projection. Combined with a high grade Despiau bridge, this creates incredible playability without causing issues to intonation.
The Eastman Concertante violin comes with a Young Deluxe oblong violin case in black and red which provides incredible protection as well as plenty of room for accessories. The Orchestra 1* bulletwood bow with silver mountings provides an incredible quality to compliment the tonal characteristics of the Concertante violin. Evenly balanced and lightweight, this bow completes the Concertante outfit.
