This beautiful 19th century American friendship quilt features 32 signed name blocks and measures 88 inches long by 72 inches wide.  It was created in the mid to late 1800s in the US Northeast region and embodies the Americana style. The colorful 19th century fabrics used, in various colors and patterns, is still in beautiful condition and showcases the skill and artistry of the original creator during the height of the friendship quilt.  The stitches average 9-11 per inch.  It is in absolutely beautiful  estate condition with NO tears, NO holes, NO repairs and NO restorations.  The bright white backside shows some staining, as shown in the photos.  Please disregard the lighting shadows and fold shadows.  The front shows only very minor, faint spots, as shown in the close-up photos.  Some of the names signed in the 32 blocks include Estelle, Lillian, Hattie, Emma, Theodora, Billy, Georgie, Delila, Minnie, Lydia, Maggie, Philinda, Sarah, etc...  This 19th century friendship quilt would make a wonderful addition to any collection and is a true representation of the early American quilting tradition.
