The cover was carried on hovercraft GH-2010, a SR N6-022, illustrated by a photograph on the card insert within the cover.

The flight, a demonstration trial, took place on the 31st October 1972, travelling from Wallasey via Southport to Blackpool.

Captain was a Gary Tarrant.

The cover was produced by the Wallasey Philatelic Society on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Society in 1947.
