We are pleased to be selling thousands of early engravings, lithographs, and prints from the incredible collection amassed by Winfield Robbins (1840-1910) of Arlington, Massachusetts. After his death in 1910, the collection was donated to local institutions where it has sat for the last 100+ years. This listing is for a wonderful early engraving designed by Lucas Van Leyden depicting the Adoration of the Magi. We are not sure when this impression was made but it is a very early piece done on laid paper and has been lightly laid down around the edges on an early sheet depicting various calculations of the globe which is on laid paper as well. The engraving sheet measures 17” x 11.6”. A great early piece.
