Selling a brand new and unworn 1963 retro style Wristwatch (Quartz watch).

This is made by Vakuy, a beautiful timeless watch which I love!

Elevate your style with this Retro men's aviation pilot watch. With its vintage design and sleek silver case, this wristwatch features a geometric dial pattern and a two-piece black leather strap . The 42mm case size and 13mm case thickness are perfect for everyday wear and offer water resistance up to 30m.

Like the original, it features Arabic numerals and baton indexes as its indices.

The 1963 reference and military style make this timepiece a unique addition to any watch collection.

The dial hands also are blue which is very subtle and reflects only in certain angles to light - see pics. The dial colour also changes according to light which you can see in the pictures. It’s a beautiful and classic watch design.

There is a working chronograph function on this watch. Start the chronograph by pressing the top right button on the watch, after which the Red minute hand will start moving. After 1 minute, the 60 minute indication dial on the left will move to the first minute and so on up to 60 minutes. You can start again by pressing the same button. The chronograph function is reset by pressing the bottom right button, after which both the Red minute hand and left dial hand move round to reset.

A bit of background information, which you might appreciate if you’re as particular about watches as me:

I’m really fond of these watches, to the point where I’m enjoying wearing this exact 1963 watch as my daily wearer (see last few photos which is my own watch - similar to this one for sale but with strap in dark green rather than black. If you want to replicate the watch strap, search for 22mm Frosted green leather watch strap in my listings). I have smallish wrists, usually wear 38mm Strela watches but this watch fits me fine.

I wanted a 1963 Seagull, but not with the mechanical movement as I didn’t want to have to service every year. I already have 13 Russian watches which are mechanical and require careful servicing. With this watch being quartz, I don’t have that service issue so this style watch has become my daily wearer.

If you had a 1963 watch on your wish list, and don’t want the hassle of a mechanical movement, but would like the same style look for a fraction of the price, this watch will achieve that!

In my opinion, the quality is really good for the price, I hope you enjoy the watch, pay particular attention to the photos which form part of the description.

The strap this watch comes with looks like it’s leather watchband (still much better than some cheap nato straps I’ve seen - granted a personally choice).
