This is a large vintage leather bag used by Moroccan "water sellers" (Guerrab) in the souks (markets).  It is handmade with local and foreign coins attached all over the front and strap of the bag.  There are also spare coins included.  I assume this is cowhide leather hand-sewn together with the coins riveted in place.  The ~2.5" wide strap is ~38" long.  The bag weighs a hefty ~9 lbs by itself. So it is more of a display piece to talk about, especially in a Boho or Middle Eastern style room or near similar style artwork.  I do not really know its age, but assume it was made in the mid to late 1900s and was well used.
