Description - Unusual and rare early 20th century Edwardian solid silver sewing crochet hook case rectangular sloped form with a spring hinge and thumb piece
fine blue velvet interior lining stamped in gilt "The Astral Safety Crochet Hook Patent 4180.09."
the case comes with the original red box with fitted interior with white silk and blue velvet lining.
Fully hallmarked with anchor for Birmingham assay, lion passant indicating 925 grade solid silver, date letter "l" for the year 1910 and the maker's mark "H.W.LD" which is Henry Williamson Ltd.
Condition - The case has two dings that are either end (see end photographs), the hinge is in excellent working condition, the interior velvet is also in excellent condition
the box is in good condition but with some surface wear
