This Christmas greeting card dates, I think, to the period of WWII and was for use by someone connected to the 247th Heavy Anti-Aircraft Batter of the Royal Artillery.  This Battery was the 2nd Watford and was part of the 79th (Herts Yeomanry) Anti-Aircraft regiment.  The Battery saw action in Northern France, North Africa and Italy as well as on Home soil.    It has the insignia of the Royal Artillery on the front and a photographic image of heavy guns in action on the inside.   No written greetings.   Published by Gale & Polden.  The card measures 12.3cm x 10.2cm and opens out to double the width.   No envelope.  Nice piece of WWII memorabilia.

The card is in a good condition.    General edge, spine end and corner rubs, very small and tiny creases at corners, light rubbing and light brown spotting along spine fold, some small, light creases across spine, tiny crease at bottom of spine, light brown spotting, light grubbiness and the odd very small and tiny mark to front panel, light mauve marks, light brown spotting, light grubbiness, some light marks, and some very small and tiny marks to rear panel, some light brown spotting and some very small and tiny marks to inside of card, the odd tiny bump to edges.   Please check scans carefully as they help with the condition too.

Please note surface mail or first class inland mail options are always available, please ask for a quote. I always refund any excess postage charges.
