RARE, BOXED, VINTAGE BUT UNUSED, REAL PEARL, SEMI-PRECIOUS STONE (MAYBE AGATE) & GOLD COLOURED BEADS & HOOKS, HAORI HIMO, TYING CORD FOR HAORI KIMONO JACKET.


THIS IS A SPECIFIC ACCESSORY FOR TYING A HAORI KIMONO JACKET.

Haori himo ties are the traditional, cords that attach to the little loops inside a haori kimono jacket. They are usually made of two small silk ties which are tied across the chest and show at the front giving a nice finish to the jacket.

This pair is unusual and special, being made out of semi precious ston beads and pearls.

There is a nice pair of pearls in the centre. On either side are two elongated carved beads which appear to be made of a semi-presious stone. They are coloured a deep pinkish red (raspberry red) colour and have little lighter pink parts from the layers of the stone which make me think they are a sort of agate. There are also small gold coloured beads. The small hooks are made of gold coloured metal.

The gold writing at the top in the lining of the box says ' luxury haori cloth'. The writing in the little oval at the lower left says 'genuine pearl'.

The box is cardboard with a black coloured base and a silver and black patterned lid. The box insert is warm white silky fabric.

CONDITION: These are vintage and boxed. The pearls are still tied to the box so we know they have never been used. The himo itself is in great condition. The lighter pink parts on the red beads are just a natural layers of stone and not a fault. There are few small faint yellow marks on the silky inner lining of the box.

SIZE: The himo cords themselves measure about 6"/15cm from the end of one hook to the other. The himo weighs about 30g with the box.

A NOTE ABOUT POSTAGE. Despite being small and light, these himo are too bulky to be classed as a letter and must be sent as a small packet. That is reflected in the postage costs. I will be sending this item by 48 tracked mail.

Payment and postage terms: The postal charge includes a small packaging and handling charge. eBay now charge a final value fee commission on the postal charge as well as the item value. So I have had to pass this new cost on via the postal cost.

UK buyers – I have to used tracked postage now to protect both the buyer and seller in case of problems with delivery.

On post to overseas.- I am now using the eBay Global Shipping Programme, so the shipping rates are not set buy me. Once the item has left my hands, the control of the shipping is with eBay.

Combined postage for UK buyers, depending on what you buy, I will look into the most secure and economical way to send combined parcels and advise you of options. But, as the weight and value of the parcel rises so does the postage cost. Please do not expect large savings on combined postage. Sometimes it is actually cheaper to send more than one parcel.

RETURNS POLICY – I do not take returns except in the exceptional circumstance of an item being wrongly described.
