This gorgeous antique kerosene chandelier is fresh from a local estate. It was electrified a long time ago but had become worn and needed some tlc to be brought back to its full glory. In addition to being rewired, it has been fully restored with a rich hand-painted antique gold finish and given a matching chain and canopy for easy installation to a modern electrical box. The four armed version of this fixture is pictured in the 1883-84 Bradley & Hubbard catalogue (see photos). The spring-loaded “rise and fall” system that this fixture would have had must have been removed when it was originally electrified, leaving a few small mounting holes. As you can see, it comes complete with a set of lovely ruffled crown green optic glass shades. One of the shades has a small, barely noticeable nick on the top ruffled edge, but otherwise they are in good shape with some light overall surface wear. The fonts have a small amount of residue in them and some bubbles in the glass etc., but have no major problems. They are faintly marked with an 1875 patent date. With the current amount of chain, this fixture hangs a total of about 41" and measures about 23" wide. I have extra chain and I would be happy to add or remove links and adjust the hanging length to suite your installation needs. Please see all photos. Shipped with great care.

I am always available to answer questions about my items, shipment methods, or anything else. Please note, however, that I ask that any special requests (alternate shipping arrangements, alternate methods of payment, international customs matters, etc.) are inquired about before purchase. Payment is expected within 3 days after end of auction, immediately with Buy It Now, and within 24 hours if a "Buy It Now" offer is accepted.

I take great care in shipping and make sure that items are properly cushioned and immobilized. Unless otherwise stated, shipping is normally within 3 business days of receiving payment, often sooner. Shipping will be combined if possible to save you on shipping costs.

I try to describe and photograph items comprehensively, but returns are gladly accepted on any item that is not as described (as long as it is in the same condition as when it was sent out). I consider the photos in my listings to be part of the description. If you wish to make such a return, you must send a message to me within 5 days of your receipt of the item. Please note that I take the 5 days after receipt of your item seriously-- please do your part by opening your package upon arrival and checking the contents, then letting me know right away if there is a problem. The buyer pays the return postage for any returns. Returns will not be accepted for any other reason.
