This is a wonderful Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Co. (RRP) pottery planter in the form of a stylized grasshopper bug.   It's part of RRP's freaky Outer Space line, made circa 1955.  This piece is in fantastic original vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations, and has a fully marked bottom from the molding process~ "R.R.P.
