Helping to clear my parents garage after move. 

Here is a geniue Mabuchi RS 540SH Brushed Motor with original box  (see stamp on silver-can body).  

It is brand new which sat in our garage untouched for sometime; although the box is worn from storage, please see photos.

Note:  The RS540SH as a standard kit motor typically for Tamiya is known for being a better performance motor comparing to the Johnson 540-J.

The Mabuchi RS 540SH is compatible with a range of RC brands including Kyosho, Tamiya, Yokomo etc. Typically I believe these motors are standard ones that sometimes come with Tamiya RC car kits for example TT01 TT02 DT02 DT03 DF02 DF03 etc.. It can be used for a variety of RC vehicles and scales, including cars, trucks, tanks, boats etc.  These usually runs with a brushed motor electronic speed controller (ESC) but cannot be used with brushless ESCs.
