Sterling Silver Mechanical Pencil E Baker & Sons Birmingham 1942

This is a lovely mechanical pencil from 'The Mascot Reg't'. by Edward Baker, made of sterling silver and hallmarked in Birmingham in 1942.  
You can unscrew the end terminal to reveal a lead storage area with a sharpening opening. 
The barrel is marked "E&B". Edward Baker & Sons, a Birmingham-based pencil manufacturer, has a long history dating back to the 1830s, and their products are of excellent quality. 
This pencil is in good working condition with a few minor scratches and dings from use. 
It is not equipped with lead.
 It weighs a gross weight of 28 g.
