AMERICAN FAMILY GROUP of ANTIQUE 19thC GEORGIAN HAND PAINTED PORTRAIT MINIATURES!

A lovely American Family Group of 6 Circa early 19thC / Georgian Period Hand Painted Portrait Miniatures by J.H Gillespie, believed to have been active in Baltimore, New York between 1829 and 1838, this can be seen on the original labels of each piece apart from one. Really nice and highly unusual for such a group to have been kept together and a nice warm touch, there are 2 Males and 4 Females in the Collection, one would assume the Father, Mother and their younger generation with 3 of the Females baring a striking resemblance to one another as shown.

Each piece has been intricately Hand Painted in Black and White in great detail and are each housed in the same Ebonised Framing with Brass Foliate Finials. Frame sizes 13cm - 11cm.

Each piece is being offered in original Antique condition, there are areas of light Frame wear and slight scuffs etc to the Frames in places, I have photographed each piece individually to show these areas. Each piece apart from one retains its original backing paper with original J.H Gillespie labels as shown. Please study all images prior to purchase for an accurate report!
