Set in a future era, in which high technology dominates the world. Sophisticated robots have replaced men in the most varied tasks, but when their control systems fail they become very dangerous. Members of the security forces such as Sergeant Jack Ramsey (Tom Selleck) are in charge of controlling them. With his new partner Karen Thompson (Cynthia Rhodes), Jack investigates the possible connection between the robots and Charles Luther, a psychopathic scientist, who is suspected of having devised a Machiavellian plan to use the machines as lethal weapons.
