After Noel Redding left the band in 1969, Jimi Hendrix's activities as The Jimi Hendrix Experience ceased, and Jimi Hendrix held sessions with various artists to form a new band.
In the midst of this, Cream disbanded and, like Jimi Hendrix, they had a session at TTG Studios in Hollywood with Jack Bruce, who was also looking to form a new band.
The members were supporting drummer Buddy Miles, who later formed the Band of Gypsies with Jimi Hendrix, and his band's guitarist Jim McCarty.
The sound you hear here is a free-form blues-based session that is not finished as a song, and the phrase 'Sunshine Of Your Love' can be heard occasionally.
Two big artists hold a session that can be described as a hesitation in search of a new concept.
