1985 International S1700 Bus. MILEAGE ~81,000 Miles. 28 Person Capacity, International 6.9L Diesel Engine, 170 Rated Horsepower, Automatic Transmission, 192" Wheel Base, Spring Suspension. This was an ex-National Guard transport bus. This means low mileage and regular maintenance its entire life. It has an adult sized roof with plenty of room to stand up in. At 28 person original capacity, it is not overly large like a 72 passenger bus. This has the ultimate bug out engine: an International 6.9 Idi! Transmission: Allison 545 Automatic transmission. These transmissions hold a good reputation for ruggedness and long lifespan. All new  filters, spark plugs and oil. The interior of this bus is a perfect blank slate to begin the build of your dreams.  The interior of this bus is a perfect blank slate to begin the build of your dreams. The interior demolition has been completed. Including removal of all metal wall and ceiling paneling and old insulation. An anti-rust paint has been applied to the ceiling. The subfloor has been installed with 1.5” of insulation. All windows have been removed, cleaned, painted, re-sealed and re-installed. All windows and wheel wells have been framed out. The bottom step has recently been replace. The bifold door has been welded into one piece and retro fit to allow installation of an exterior door handle and dead bolt. All of the windows in the door have been replaced with plexi-glass panels and re-sealed. I have four of the original bus seats two of which have original cushions and upholstery. I do not have the original drivers seat but have a modern air suspension seat that once installed can be fit to the air break system to provide superior comfort for the driver. The bus doesn’t currently run as it needs a new fuel pump. I’ve had this bus running great in the past it just needs a little love.
