You don't find many of these! This one has what appears to be the early stages of red rot in the leadpipe and the price has been reduced accordingly. The second valve pull knob and one of the knobs on the 3rd valve rod stop are not original to the horn. There are a few small dents, some abrasions and scratches to the finish, and some lacquer wear that you can see in the pictures. The CG model stands for Claude Gordon. It is a large bore horn (.468") with a thinner bell from a medium large bore horn. They say Benge workers originally buffed the bells until Zig Kanstul ordered thinner sheets. Gordon's first horn may have been configured with a smaller bore bell by mistake, but he liked it so much that others were made and sold as 'his' model. Despite the corrosion this horn should have a couple decades of playing left, the valve compression is good and it still sings! Includes the pictured case. All slides and valves are free and move smoothly.
