and confident. Produced by James Ford and Mike
Crossey, the sound has grown tighter and edgier.
Clocking in at 38 minutes, the second Arctic
Monkeys album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' has all
the hallmarks of a British-pop classic and triumphs
where the Strokes, The Stone Roses, The Jam and
many other worthies have stumbled. It's full of
kitchen sink drama lyrics, sing along choruses,
future anthems and romance. You can hear the
Kinks, you can sense the Smiths and a love of the
60's but most of all you can hear the Arctic
Monkeys. Their debut was brilliant but 'Favourite
Worst Nightmare' is even better.
