This is an original press photo. Washington State University scientists are by passing nature to produce a field full of asparagus plants that are identical in size, quality and even taste. The object of the experiments, being carried out at W.S.U.S's Agricultural Research center at Prosser, Benton County, is to produce asparagus so uniform that it can be effectively harvested by machine.
