NICE condition old advertising ashtray. I have pointed out a few hairline cracks/minor nicks I see in the pictures most likely from stacking but NO large chips. A wonderful piece of memorabilia!

My research shows this Tavern was destroyed by a major fire in 1946 but then rebuilt until completely torn down for ‘progress’ in the mid 1980’s. The gentlemen named on the ashtray were champion Rodeo riders who purchased the site after the blaze and rebuilt the Tavern making it one of the ‘finest cocktail lounges in the state’.

Another tragedy in the story-Carl Dossey was killed at the age of 37 saving his son from a group of runaway horses in the local Chandler Rodeo parade in 1955. His friend, Gene Autry attended his funeral.
