Description - Splendid 19th century French solid silver snuff box of rectangular form with a hinged lid and thumb piece 

all sides embellished with engine turned decoration, the lid has a decorative central vacant cartouche  

silver-gilt (gold washed) interior.

French hallmarks to the inner rim with maker's lozenge and the boar head indicating 800/ 1000 solid silver fineness.

Condition - In good condition, there is a bash to the front right bottom corner  (please inspect end photograph), the engine turned decoration is worn nd there has been repair work undertaken to the base

hinge strong closing the lid secure and flush

interior silver gilt is rich and bright.
