This is tamahagane, the raw steel used in the making of Japanese swords. Japanese swords are crafted by forging this steel.his tamahagane has been carefully stored since its acquisition. It's approximately 67.5 grams. It comes in a box.

When exposed to water, oil, or light, it tends to rust easily. Please handle with care during storage.
