Description - Delightful late 19th century Victorian solid silver vesta case of rectangular fluted form with spring loaded hinged lid, thumb piece and strike plate

silver-gilt (gold washed) interior.

Fully hallmarked with the anchor for Birmingham assay, lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, date letter "s" for the year 1892, the maker's mark "S & Co" which is Sydney & Co.

Condition - In very good condition, to note there is a slight surface fracture to the lid which hasn't split through

hinge is strong flicking the lid open and snapping shut, interior silver-gilt is nice and bright.
