1/6 daguerreotype, circa 1855 - little boy with a braid of hair above his head, which has been placed underneath the glass. 

Daguerreotype is no longer sealed and is in half of a case. Heavy tarnish ring, with a possible short swipe in the background left of his shoulder. It's very light and if it is a swipe, it's old because it has its own tarnish around it. Besides that I don't see any issues like scratches or abrasions. I took several cell phone pics that will hopefully show the condition well.
