California state highway 67 route marker.

Up for sale today is this California state route 67 sign. Made to the exact standards as used between 1934 and 1940 along this historic highway.

Highway 67 is a connector road in east San Diego County, starting nowadays at interstate 8 and heading north and then northeast to end at highway 78 in Ramona. historically, the segment of highway 125 that headed south to Spring Valley was also part of 67, and the road was co-signed with US highway 80 through El Cajon and La Mesa.

An original of these, complete with the circle logo of the Auto Club of Southern California, would cost many thousands of dollars if it ever came to the market. I've never seen an example of a 1934 style bear route 67 shield.

This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!

Would you like a number not seen here? Or perhaps a different style? I can of course make these signs with any route number of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A.
