The battery charged right up and kept a charge after a full two weeks.  If you zoom in on the pictures you will see surface scratches this is normal wear.  This camera is easy and fun to use.  Shipping is $12.  I combine shipping so please check out my other auctions.  Thank you for looking.  Ron
