Vine Street, Kansas City, Missouri sign.

Up for sale today is this Vine Street sign, from Kansas City, Missouri. The sign is made to a 1930s specification that was in use during the early days of jazz music, specifically at its intersection with 18th Street. Today, 18th and Vine is still a historic district of Kansas City, and houses many museums, restaurants, and of course bars where live jazz is still played regularly. If you'd like to have its companion sign, please see my other auctions for 18th Street. Here is a chance to get yourself a street sign from this historic part of town, without having to break the bank to buy an original (if any still exist) or climb a post in the middle of the night!

This is the two-sided version of this sign. If you would like the one-sided version, please see my other auctions.

I can make practically any street name sign, from any city on the planet. Inquire about your favorite!

The sign is 25 by 6 3/4 inches, and weighs about 3 pounds, 8 ounces. It is the same size as the original signs in service during the historic era of the 1930s. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!

Would you like a street name or block number not seen here? Or perhaps a different style? I can of course make these signs with any street name of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and route shield signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A.
