This is a gem of Australia Philately, issued in a Limited Edition for “Australia 99” by Australia Post to introduce the first collection of engraved (intaglio) stamp proofs printed from their original steel dies. A selection of the engraved stamps of the Commonwealth of Australia featured 28 proofs printed in black and housed in archival mounts.

The book is in excellent condition but with a small spot on the upper right corner. The slip cover has a tear across the top back. Please see the pictures for details. Inside the book, to protect the stamps, there are tissue papers (similar to the interleaves of album stamp pages). The corners of the book were made with gold-coloured metal.
