Vintage Japanese Wooden Drawer Storage Box

Wooden boxes are a common method of safely keeping and storing delicate pottery, vases, and other ceramic, clay, and glass items in Japan. In addition to pottery, they are also widely used for a plethora of other traditional Japanese crafts including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, etc. 

This long, narrow drawer taken from a vintage desk or chest is a beautiful chocolate brown color with a clear finish showcasing the natural wood grain. It has simple metal hardware. This piece can also be used for general storage of trinkets, displays, or other crafts/projects.
