ANTIQUE RED STAINED GLASS CEILING LANTERN LAMP SHADE light chandelier vintage

This is a

BEAUTIFUL

LARGE

VICTORIAN ANTIQUE

RED GLASS

CEILING LANTERN

In my estimation it dates from around the mid 19th Century, circa 1870-1880, but please make up your own mind about this.

The lantern measures approx 13 inches (340mm) tall by 10 3/4 inches (275mm) across, corner to corner (not including the suspension chains).

Total drop from suspension hook, approx 29 inches (740mm) (but, of course, you can add or remove chain to suit your house).

It is made from beautiful, foliage patterned, red glass panels, mounted in a decorative brass frame. 

It is in very good, antique condition with light wear consistent with its great age and no damage to the glass (apart from the small repaired crack shown in photo 6).

This is a fine example of its type and it would make a beautiful decorative piece.

The lantern acts as a shade around a hanging ceiling light fitting (not supplied) and does not have a bulb holder inside.
