Epiphone John Lennon Limited Edition 1965 Casino S/N 1154

Description

The amount of neck backbow, fret wear, truss rod, etc. are unclear to an amateur like myself, but I do not feel any inconvenience while using it. (Regarding the truss rod, I have never touched it myself).

All parts are believed to be original, however, it cannot be guaranteed that the previous owner did not make any replacements.

This is a John Lennon 1965 Casino limited to 1965 units worldwide, assembled in Gibson USA in 2000.
In recent years, it has become quite rare to find in the used market, with prices soaring, making it a rare piece.

It is a replica model of the 1965 Casino that was used in the Beatles' Japan tour and played a crucial role in defining the Beatles' sound from the mid to late periods.

It was then stripped of its paint and refinished in a natural look, creating two types: the "Revolution," which was used at the rooftop concert, and the world's most famous Casino that changed its appearance over time. These two types were produced in limited quantities of 1965 units each in the sunburst type John Lennon Casino in 2000.

With the same serial number "328393" as John Lennon, placed in the back of the headstock and the F-hole, this unit has a blue label just like it did back then. The serial number of this unit is "704/1965," meaning it is the 704th unit out of 1965.

I purchased this second-hand unit in like-new condition in 2008 and used it for 15 years. (It has only been used outside three times, and mainly used for home recording).

There is some tarnishing on nickel parts like the pickup covers, rust on the screws, small dents and scratches on the body top and neck back, and residue from the original MADE IN USA label on the back of the headstock. However, there are no significant scratches that expose the wood, and overall it is in good condition.
The case is worn with multiple damages to the leather.

Known as a collector's item, this model features lacquer finish, mother-of-pearl headstock logo, ABR-1 with nylon saddles, and a three-ply pickguard with an aluminum foil 'E' mark, replicating the specs from 1965. It has received high praise for its sound and appearance, surpassing the current Casino models.

The exact year of manufacture is unknown.
