Very nice patina on this piece with geometric shapes and web-like patterns, with a rich chocolate hue along with green tinges from age. Appears to date from the late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1880-1930. In good condition for its age although it does have a crack on the inside towards the rim as seen in the photos. This piece is most likely of West African origin, created by a sand cast bronze alloy method typical of the tribes Kasena or Baule from the Burkina Faso/Ghana region.

The age and origin of this piece can only be estimated, and are concluded by comparing similar pieces from the time period and region it is attributed to.
