There was once a velveteen rabbit that lived with a stuffed horse and many other toys in a child's play room. "What is real?" asked the rabbit one day. Play horse said "Real isn't how you are made - it's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long time - not just to play with - THEN you become real. By that time, most of your fur has been loved off and you get very shabby. But these things don't matter once you are real." Rabbit hoped that this fantastic thing might happen to him someday.

.CONDITION  Hardcover (Vintage 1981) is Like-New to Very Good+ condition. Item resided in an indoor storage cabinet since mid-1980s. There may be some natural color aging in pages & covers from 1981 printing. May have some wrinkling on pages - has some storage edge, spine & bumped corner wear.(Photos 10 thru 12). We tidied up item but there may be smudges. Binding good, pages secure. Delightful tale for readers!

Generally, book also MAY  Have some shelf storage wear and edge or corner wear, a bit of cover or page creasing, smudges, slight curving of book/pages, tags or tape affixed, small page tears, minor darkening of pages at top, bottom, or fore-edges or covers, & cover color rubbing wear - though this may not be apparent to view in 13 photos.
