Vintage BHS Men’s Grey Wool/Cashmere ¾ Jacket/Coat Size 40”

This is a smart double-breasted coat which is 65% Wool and 10% Cashmere. A BHS original, this is a good quality and very well made garment which dates from the 1980s and has been freshly professionally dry cleaned via Timpson’s Specialist Service in preparation for sale. The coat is a distinguished charcoal grey colour and is in very good condition having had minimal wear during its lifetime.

The coat has six visible buttons to the front, three of which are used for fastening with the generous button holes on the left hand edge. These buttons measure an inch across and are covered with genuine leather – black in a plaited design. A further button inside holds the flap in place. The shoulders are finished with epaulettes, each of which is fastened with a smaller leather button - these can be used if required.

There are four pockets in total – two large inset pockets at the hip, each of which has a covering flap which can be worn in or out; and two inside breast pockets which are of a generous size. There is a centre vent at the back of the coat which measures 33cm/13 inches up from the hem. The long sleeves have a plain invisible hem which matches the hem around the bottom of the coat. The lining is made from a grey silky material.
