SS Battle Creek Victory: Offered is a WW II Memorial Ship cover pictorially

postmarked July 14, 2007 at Sparta, Michigan. This 455' merchant cargo vessel

was one of a large group of Victory Ships named for American Cities.

This ship was launched on July 11, 1945 by Permanente Metals Corp. in Richmond, CA

and named for the City of Battle Creek, Michigan. This proud new ship transported vital

supplies to US and Allied Forces during WW II.
