It removes 99 percent of lead, cysts that resist chlorine, as well as chlorine itself for an improved odor and taste. The filter also reduces numerous other contaminants and trace amounts of pharmaceuticals such as ibuprofen, progesterone and atenolol, if present. Installation is simple and tool-free with no mess left behind. Each MWF water filter lasts for up to six months or 300 gallons. It's compatible with select GE side-by-side and bottom-freezer models, such as those from the Adora series, as well as others.
