Please note that this is the very well built commercial grade John Deere - not a domestic home model. These things are built like tanks and last forever.

This won't easily fit in a small car, so bear that in mind when collecting.

It's fitted with the original Subaru engine, which turns over with good compression. I did spray some brake cleaner down the carb and it fired up, so it will run and the ignition side is good. That's as far as my investigations went and I genuinely haven't dug further and I haven't found anything nasty that stopped me doing getting it going myself. If this doesn't sell as S&R, I'll likely spend a few hours and restore it to running condition myself.

The throttle cable is snapped. The two drive cables feel okay, but untested. Handle looks complete and adjusts as you'd expect.

Fuel tank and engine look okay. Oil is black. It was stored empty, but will probably need a carb clean as I don't know how long since it was last used.

The cast aluminium deck looks good, I can't see any cracks, although I haven't cleaned it off. Blade is good. There is a small crack on the output flap.

Collection only from near to Hennock which is 20 mins south of Exeter. Cash on handover is fine.

No buy-it-now price, sorry. No idea what this is worth, so letting it run. Working models achieve very good money, which given the quality of the machine is no surprise.
