All of these historical documents and autograhs that I am listing came out of a 19th century scrapbook that I purchased about 30 years ago. I am finally getting around to removing many of the items which includes numerous historical autographs, and paper ephemera. I have not authenticated any of these but some have information on them which will give you information on age. If you’re interested in historical paper, autographs etc please bookmark my site as I have a lot more to list.

This folk art pencil drawing features a man riding a horse blowing a bugle while a second man is reciting the heading from the Extra Sun. Done on paper measuring 8” wide by 5 3/4” high. I’m guessing this refers to the annexation of land from Mexico that eventually became Texas. Condition is fair for its age with staining, a tear below the word attempt, crease lines from probably being sent in an envelope. Paper curled at lower right side. Still the detail is good. Lots of references to annexation. Most of this scrapbook contained paper from the late 18 century to the late 19th century and much of it is from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This will look great once it’s properly matted and framed.

See my other auctions this for a second drawing that came from the same scrapbook.
