Santiago knows its heritage; cold-worked, air hardened steel (100% recycled) is steeped in the history of long distance riding. But with bang up-to-date geometry, Santiago has a refreshing feel that you know will be good for years to come: 450 mm chainstays, 1.1 m wheelbase, 71 degree head angle, a fork rake of 55 and generous tyre clearance. This makes for a truly comfortable, fast, assured bike, both in its own right (audax slaying, winter riding) or when racked up for multi-month adventures.

RIVAL22 TOURING

If you’re touring fully-loaded, you’re going to want the FSA super compact 48/32 chainset with an 11–32 cassette at the back. With big wide gear ratios (ranging from 1:1 to 4.36:1) it’ll get you up Winnat’s Pass fully-loaded without taking too much off your top speed, so you’ll still be spinning it out at 30 mph pretty comfortably.

In old money, the gear range is 23" to 109" which gives a huge spread of gears for load carrying and multi-day touring.

Includes Brooks Cambium C17 saddle and two bottle cages. Does not include pedals or rear rack seen in photo.

Purchased for a week long summer cycle touring trip round Northern Europe, it is a fantastic bike, and rides very well despite panniers, but now I’m back in Sheffield I want to exchange for something more suited to shorter evening trips out in the peaks. Only covered around 500 miles, stored indoors, excellent condition.

Collection only from Sheffield S10
