Barr & Stroud binocular Model CF25

These excellent original condition Barr & Stroud 7x CF25 binoculars were owned and used by my father in the Pacific during WW2 when he served in the Fleet Air Arm on an aircraft carrier as a navigator on a Fairy Firefly dive bomber.

The lightweight Barr & Stroud binocular Model CF25 was used by the British Navy for air reconnaissance during World War II (as indicated by the AP pattern No. 1949.)

Serial no. 40657

These binoculars have the Admiralty arrows on the case with no chipping or fading of the yellow.

The rare metal spring-action splash-guards extend and retract with a simple twist - and are in excellent condition.

The internal colour filters that are manually switched by a knob are in perfect condition.

The lenses are in perfect condition – though after almost 80years could do with a clean.

It has been kept in its carrying case since 1946 – which is  also untouched with no repairs. Some wear and the strap recently broke from the leather drying out.

International buyers will be charged through eBay’s overseas distribution service.
