This magazine weight helps the magazine drops faster. The average weight of a 45 ACP ammo weight approximate 0.7 oz (20 gm). 1 oz MagWeight is close to one to two rounds of 45 ACP. The 2 oz MagWeight is close to three rounds of 45 ACP ammo. Try to release an empty magazine and magazine with the above rounds and you will know the difference.

1. CNC machined from solid brass billet - strong and durable.
2. Fits standard , compact and sub-compact (G20/21 Glock magazines in 10 mm and 45 ACP cal. i.e. G20, 20SF, 29, 29SF, 40, 21, 21SF, 30, 30SF, 30S, 41).
***Does not fit slimline G36, 9mm and .40S&W Glock***
3. Thickness: Original base pad - 0.110" (2.82 mm); 1 oz MagWeight - 0.082" (2.10 mm); 2 oz MagWeight - 0.168" (4.28mm).
4. Weight: 
Original base pad - 0.16 oz (4.6 grams); 
1 oz MagWeight ? 1.0 oz (28 gram) about 1.5 rounds of 45ACP
2 oz MagWeight ? 2.0 oz (56 gram) about 3 rounds of 45ACP
As the MagWeight is machined from a solid brass billet, each MagWeight can have a + or - 3% weight different.
5. Does not add rounds to the original magazine. 
**Please note that different shooting sports have different limitation on gun modification, please consult with the match authority for allowable modification. **

Installation:
Please wear proper eye protection and make sure the gun is not loaded.
1. Make sure the magazine is empty.
2. Depress the inner floor plate with a punch or small screw driver.
3. Press the rear corner of the base pad against a hard surface like a desk or a hardwood block until you feel the base pad slide past the plastic studs on the magazine tube.
4. Cut the plastic studs off with a cutter.
5. Insert the MagWeight.
6. Test fire and get use to this new modification. 
**Please have a qualified gunsmith to do the work for you if you are not comfortable with the above installation procedures.**

Warning:  After installation, test fire your pistol in various shooting position and  making sure that your hands would not accidental activate the extended magazine release.  Also holster test the proper function of the extended magazine release.
