My name is Tomasz and I'm a technologist in an international company in the automotive industry for over 15 years. I was first introduced to the Keihin FCR carburetor plate about 10 years ago. It was an unpleasant experience because, I learned that these plates wear out very quickly and, if not replaced in time, can break and destroy an engine. Then I bought the original plate which was very expensive and very impermanent. It worn out very quickly and was not suitable for further use. I wasn't going to buy a new one and lose so much money again. I made a decision that I would create the best product that current technology allows. That is why there were no compromises when choosing the material. I chose aluminum 7075 T6 which is the best material of this type currently available on the market It is use to build aircraft, so you don't have to advertise it. For example, 6061 has almost twice as bad strength properties and is good for making accessories such as brake/clutch levers, footrests, but not for engine parts. You can check the material properties in all material standards. I made the first plate and I started testing (without anodizing for now). During the tests, it turned out that the pockets on the front of the plate are very important for the correct operation of the engine. Thanks to these pockets, the engine starts better and works better at idle, because the plate is properly sucked into the front wall of the carburetor. Remind yourself all those times when you were tired, kicked with your last strength and the engine wouldn't start. It was frustrating right? I designed the plate in such a way as to ensure that the engine operates correctly and at the same time increases resistance for breaking As you can see in the pictures, the front pockets do not collide with the back seal groove, so this element is as resistant as possible. After about a year of testing, I measured the plate again and it turned out that there was no wear. It could not be otherwise because 7075 raw aluminum has almost the same properties as steel. To create a product as good as possible, It was to a hard anodizing process Thanks to this, the wear resistance increased double (four times as regular aluminum) The resulting product is very light thanks to aluminum and a clever design (redesign of the front cards), which allows the engine to work properly. And it has twice the abrasion resistance than steel thanks to the use of 7075 aluminum and hard anodizing process. It is also the most durable thanks to the use of the best material - 7075 aluminum. I've been riding for over four years on my Suzuki DRZ400 Supermoto and Honda CRF250R dirtbike equipped with my plate and I'm happy that I don't have to worry about the engine and my money.
