Hi and thank you for looking at my auction for a 1983 Rover 2600S SD1 which belonged to my late father who recently passed away

The car is finished in red and was his pride and joy before it had some issues and went in the garage and sadly never came back out and as such is in the state that it is in the pictures

I am aware that the car does need a bit of work and a polish to say the least, there is some rusting on the front left arch as pictured and the left door has a dent from where my mum caught it in the car park and bubbling on the door although it hasn't gone through that I can see

The car will need to be trailerered away, I haven't tried to start it as the car hasn't moved in 26 years and wouldn't want to damage it

I'm not an expert on these cars but it had an issue with the engine and it had been tried to be fixed years ago but something came up and it was never finished, I don't know fully what is needed so the car is as seen with no warranty given or implied obviously

I have just been to the car ( located 30 miles from where we live) and have just turned the crank pulley and can confirm that it does move so the engine is not seized

The car is generally in good condition given it's been sat for years, it's an automatic 2.6 6 Cylinder with velour seats with no rips that I've seen
The headlining has sagged as shown in the pictures

The underneath of the car as far as I can see with the limited space is surprisingly solid given the age and the fact it hasn't moved in years, I can't really get great pictures of it but have done the best that I can

Unfortunately I can't find the V5C or service history but would be more than happy to answer any questions as honestly as I can with what I know about the car

The pictures aren't fantastic I appreciate and I have given the car a rinse off at the front and best I can given that it's an auto and can't move it and have noticed the bonnet does have surface rust and the strip between the lights does appear to be a darker colour, apparently this is the case with another part farther back but as I'm unable to clean it off I can not confirm this

The car is located in Basingstoke, Hampshire not where my ebay is showing, an address will obviously be provided

Any questions please ask and I'll answer as best I can

Grab a piece of history which may well be more collectible than they are already one day as I would genuinely heartbroken if it were to just be scrapped as with some knowledge and some TLC it would be genuinely great to see back on the road again

Thanks again for looking
