Description - Delightful early 20th century solid silver mounted desk/ bedside clock of shaped form with with an easel back
the clock has a wood body, the silver mount has engine turned decoration and has an inscription dated 2nd April 1926
Swiss 8 day movement in a brass case, with arabic numeral dial, brass case, there is a wind up key and a later added hand key
made by renowned silversmith Walker & Hall
Silver is fully hallmarked with the three wheatsheaves for Sheffield assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, the date "i" for the year 1926 and the maker's mark "W & H" which is Walker & Hall.
Condition - The movement is in good working order keeping good time, the silver has some wear around the insert (please inspect end photograph)
the clock can become loose in the wood's hole if turned face down
there is a bruise to the arch area and a ding to the top edge
engine turned decoration is crisp
wood in good condition and the easel stand is secure.
