The Winter Cover Cable secures a winter cover to an above ground pool with a winch. Once a cable is run through eyelets of the the perimeter of the pool cover, feed one end into the hole on the winch and the other into the other end of the winch and then winch or turn to tighten the cable and secure the cover tightly.
The handle is spring loaded to hold it until the next spring when you want to release it (press the latch and rotate slightly tighter, move the cog out of the way and that will release it).
This Winter Pool Cover Ratchet / Winch is used for tightening the cable to secure the cover on your above ground pool, helping protect your cover from damaging wind as well as ensuring a tight fit.
Simply run a cable through the grommets on your pool cover and into the ratchet to cinch the cover tight around the frame of the pool.
