SS Hibbing Victory Offered is a WW II Memorial Ship cover

postmarked Feb 6, 2008 at Hibbing, Minnesota. This 455' merchant cargo vessel

was one of a large group of Victory Ships named for American Cities.

This ship was launched on June 10, 1944 by Oregon Shipbuilding Corp. in Portland, OR and named for the City of Hibbing, MN. This proud new ship transported vital supplies to US and Allied Forces during WW II. See her web pages for details of her design, construction and service history.
