Brass Resonance Modeling(TM) Ver.2.0

Brass Resonance Modeling(TM) is Yamaha's unique digital technology that "models the characteristics of brass instruments when played without a mute and corrects the timbre when a mute is applied".

Sound Mode

By switching sound modes, you can now choose whether the performance sounds natural to the player (PLY: Player) or natural to the audience (AUD: Audience). Using the AUD mode, you can easily switch to a sound as if you were actually listening in front of the instrument, which is ideal for recording performances and online lessons.

Easy connection via USB

By connecting the Personal Studio(TM)STJ to a PC or smart device with the included USB cable, you can easily record and enjoy online lessons at home. Personal Studio(TM)STJ does not require complicated wiring and can be easily connected.

Rec'n'Share" application

The Personal Studio(TM)STJ can be connected to Yamaha's free "Rec'n'Share" application.

Rec'n'Share is an application for smart devices that allows you to record your own performance to the audio data in the device and share it on SNS. It also has a function to change the tempo of the original song, an AB repeat function to repeat a specific section of the original song, and a function to analyze the original song and add a click sound, so it can be effectively used for practicing musical instruments in accordance with the song.

Small and light attached pickup mute

This mute is so lightweight that it is easy to install and remove and you will forget you are wearing a mute. This pickup mute is equipped with a specially designed mini-microphone that fits neatly inside the bell.
