READ THE DESCRIPTION PLEASE - VIDEO LINKS AT THE BOTTOM!!!

It is with great reluctance that I announce that I am selling the remainder of my beloved Aibo collection.

I'm selling it all as I no longer have the time or finances, I am hoping they go to a loving home where they'll get a lot more use.

INCLUDED:

Aibo ERS-7m2:

Robot is in good working order and extremely clean with slight yellowing and very minor scuffs that are extremely hard to notice. (see photos). Currently running a made-up copy of Mind 3 using the Clie in the photos which has also been modified using the custom manager software on the Vaio. (see photos) The robot also runs through clinic mode with no issue, no camera or microphone defects.

The docking station works very well, all the buttons work and the backlight looks good. I am able to configure the date & time with no issue. However, it has a fair bit of cosmetic damage, the removable parts were all broken when I got it, I made an attempt to glue it back together with a strong contact cement to reduce further damage. The foot stand is removable but only on one side, so you can still get the cable in and out no problem, just be careful.

The station pole is in good condition minus the part with that also seemingly broke off, I decided to leave it as is due to the fact that the pole is heavy and further damage could occur if the tab was glued back on. The station still works very well when everything is placed together and the Aibo is able to dock itself fine. The Aibo also has all of its cards which are in pristine condition and very colourful. The robot has no issue seeing them.

original battery included ERA-7B1 7.4V/2200mAh
However due to its age, it needs a recell as the battery holds a charge but not enough for the robot to boot anymore, it will power up and play the low battery Dracula theme almost every time, if you're lucky it might boot but will die after about 7-8 minutes.

Aibo ERS-312 macaron:

Also in good working order, minor scuffs here and there. Robot has been customised but the paint can be easily removed if desired. The battery compartment's release mechanism isn't as strong as it should be due to age, either hold the body upright or angle it stomach down for the battery to pop out when the BATT tab is pressed. There is also tape on one of the pins to allow the robot to boot with the charger connected for testing purposes, I've decided not to remove it, making it the buyer's choice instead.
The robot currently runs a genuine copy of Aibo Friend (Japanese version of Aibo Pal) which it came with when I first got the robot about 5 years ago. It has a registered name, and developed unique personality (He's a bit gloomy and likes to argue). A backup of the software is on the Vaio. (see photos).

The robot also comes with a docking station, just the plastic no electronics as those were sold separately. it acts as a nice stand to display the robot on and is good for charging. It's in good cosmetic condition with minimal scratches.

original battery included ERA-301B1 7.4V/1700mAh
The battery charges and will allow the robot to boot. However, if unplugged it will instantly shut the robot down, no warning. Similar to an old laptop battery. Like the previous this battery too needs a recell.

Vaio VGN-A517B:

A really well built Windows XP laptop I bought specifically to use with the Aibos as it's a Sony make meaning that it has an inbuilt memory stick reader and all the corresponding drivers. It includes software for various Aibo models (primarily the 31x and 7) which can be installed onto the included memory sticks using the Clie.
The laptop itself is in really nice condition and comes with its original box, printed manual, recovery CD's and its own wireless mouse, a few scuffs only really visible on the back and the mouse has slight corrosion inside the battery compartment but still works well. it was reset when I got it and I've only put a few Aibo related files onto it as that was the only purpose I had for it.
The laptop's battery does not work off the charger, the laptop needs to remain plugged in for it to work. It has an orange light indicating that it won't charge, either a replacement battery is required or a recell of the original.

Clie PEG-SJ22:

Good PDA, works great and does its job. Battery holds charge for a couple hours if full and the PDA itself is in almost pristine condition, no scuffs I can see really anywhere. Stylus included and touch screen works well. Box included and comes with accessories like its charger, earphones and USB cables.

MSAC-US5 Mouse/Memory Stick Reader:

Bought a while before I got the Vaio laptop, mouse works great and so does the inbuilt reader. It wont work on a modern computer (the reader part, the mouse still works) because there are no longer the drivers available for it. So it's just another mouse at the end of the day. It's in good cosmetic condition, the cable's a little crazy looking but gets the job done with no issues.

Miscellaneous
 Accessories:

This bundle is ideally for Aibo enthusiasts/collectors as these robots aren't exactly toys. They are extremely complex in both hardware and software and are known to develop various age related faults which are often difficult to repair at home and should be left to a professional.
